Hi, I used to be a 9-to-5er in several big companies.  I am now a full-time entrepreneur, managing a small company with a surprisingly high growth rate.  I learned that to start, you should first be sure about what you're most interested in.  As reliable as the numbers are in stating the current big industries to join in, I believe it is still a matter of doing great in what your passion is, or what you're passionate about, because you'll be doing this for a mighty long time.  After the idea comes the search - seminars, suppliers, trade fairs, etc.  Starting small is expected, as long-term wealth is acquired little by little.  Hope this helps.
